Subscription & Cancellation Policy
Effective date: 2 August 2026
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy describes Arcla’s current plan options and sets out the terms that will apply when paid subscriptions are introduced. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
Draft policy — paid subscriptions coming soon
Arcla is currently in early access. Paid subscription billing, automatic renewal, free trials, and online self-service cancellation are not yet active. This policy will be updated before any paid plan is charged. Questions? Contact support@arcla.co.nz.
1. Current Plans
Arcla currently offers the following options for company accounts:
- Free: Available to all company accounts at no charge. Includes a company profile. Publishing job listings requires an active company plan that includes job posting. Arcla may grant complimentary plan access without payment. Company verification remains a separate requirement for directory access and initial messaging.
- Founding 30 Companies: The first 30 eligible approved businesses receive 12 months of company access free. No card is required and no payment will be taken automatically.
Worker Free is $0 and includes a basic profile, directory inclusion and link or QR sharing, subject to privacy choices. Worker Premium is planned at NZ$10/month + GST, billed monthly with no annual worker plan. Worker payments are not connected yet.
Founding 30 companies
The first 30 eligible companies with confirmed email addresses and manual company approval receive 12 calendar months of company access free. Places are awarded in approval order; existing eligible approved companies are included in registration order. The free year starts when the place is awarded after approval. One place per business, non-transferable. Test and duplicate accounts are excluded. A place remains counted after expiry or deletion and cannot be reclaimed by recreating an account.
The offer includes job posting, worker discovery, shared Passports, invitations and messaging. Worker privacy choices and account rules apply. Suspended or unverified companies cannot use hiring access. At the end of the free year, paid capabilities expire unless separate eligible access exists. Company profiles and stored records remain. No card is required; there are no automatic charges or renewals. A paid plan requires a separate choice and agreement. The offer does not promise lifetime pricing or future separately priced products.
Founding 100 workers
The first 100 eligible workers receive the current Worker Premium features free for the lifetime of their Arcla account, with no card required or subscription charges. Existing active workers with confirmed email addresses are included in original registration order. New places are awarded after email confirmation and a completed registration. Test, duplicate and company accounts are excluded.
One place per person, non-transferable. A place remains counted if an account is deleted; recreating an account does not restore the benefit. Standard usage limits, privacy choices, review requirements and account rules apply. Suspended accounts cannot use Premium. The offer covers the current Worker Premium feature set; future separately priced products are not automatically included.
Worker Premium access and downgrade
Premium adds richer presentation, private document uploads and eligibility for up to three manual review cases per calendar month, including ID. Arcla admins may grant complimentary Worker Premium access without payment or a paid subscription. Neither payment nor an admin plan grant automatically grants verification; identity and document verification still require manual review and approval. Badges require approved, valid reviews and active Premium. After expiry, stored information, original files and legitimate review history are retained; owners can access their originals. New uploads, review requests, rich publication and Featured eligibility stop. Existing pending cases may finish.
Creating new selectable Passport PDFs requires active Premium. Original uploaded files remain accessible to owners on Free. Previously downloaded copies cannot be withdrawn by later profile changes. When saved PDF selections are enabled, Premium workers may keep up to five named sets of choices. After expiry, owners may view or delete existing selections; creating, updating and exporting them requires Premium. A selection creates a fresh PDF from current records, not a permanently frozen application pack. No checkout or automatic worker billing is available yet.
2. Future Paid Subscriptions
Arcla intends to introduce paid subscription plans for company accounts in the future. When paid plans are launched, this policy will be updated to include full details of:
- Pricing and plan tiers;
- Billing cycles (workers: monthly only; company options are separate);
- Automatic renewal terms and advance notice;
- Free trial conditions, if offered;
- Online self-service cancellation; and
- Refund eligibility.
Registered users will be notified by email before any paid subscription is introduced. No charge will be made without your explicit agreement to the then-current billing terms.
3. Pricing
Where pricing is displayed on the Platform, it is indicative and subject to change before paid plans are activated. All prices will be in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
After the Founding 30 free year, continuing paid access requires a separate agreement to the pricing and billing terms available at that time.
4. Cancellation (Current Phase)
During the current early-access phase, there are no automated subscriptions to cancel. If you are a Founding Company account and wish to discontinue your arrangement, please contact us at: support@arcla.co.nz
We will respond promptly and arrange any necessary account changes.
5. Refunds (Current Phase)
As billing is currently arranged manually on a case-by-case basis, any refund requests will also be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at support@arcla.co.nz with your request and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
[Legal review recommended] — Before activating automated billing, have a New Zealand solicitor review the refund and cancellation provisions to ensure compliance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
6. Changes to This Policy
This policy will be updated before paid subscription billing is introduced. We will notify all registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
